Paintings from gardens featuring flowers and insects.
I spent time in my garden and other gardens watching, photographing and sketching the flowers. It seemed impossible to ignore all the movement and noise of the insects. So I included them also.

A large painting inspired by trips to the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland. The hexagonal shapes of the rocks reminded me of bees’ hives. Imagine a bee scouting for a safe home, among the other tourists and visitors, in this landscape. This painting is about our relationship to nature, home and the environment.
